Pacific Gateway Hotel At Vancouver Airport

Pacific Gateway Hotel At Vancouver Airport

The Pacific Gateway Hotel at Vancouver Airport, formerly the Delta Vancouver Airport Hotel, is one of those places where you can get away from it all, or you can be near all the action, or both at the same time.  It has the Vancouver International Airport as a next door neighbour, and is a mere 20 minutes from the heart of downtown Vancouver.  At the same time, it’s located right on the waterfront of the mighty Fraser River, boasts a marina with all of over 100 slips, and has more than 12 miles of riverside trails connected to the hotel property.  Guests who decide to go walking or jogging along the riverside should let the concierge know before they go; he’ll send along a complimentary bottle of chilled water to take along.

The Pacific GatewPacific Gateway Hotel At Vancouver Airport Signay Hotel offers 414 comfortable, well appointed guest rooms, service with a smile and attention to detail that makes every visitor feel like they’re coming home.  Getting there is an absolute dawdle.  The hotel runs a shuttle service every 20 minutes for 21 hours per day, from 4 a.m. right up to 1 a.m., and as for that attention to detail we just mentioned, any guest arriving between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. can simply take a taxi to the Pacific Gateway, present their receipt from the taxi driver, and the hotel will reimburse the taxi fee on the spot!   For details of other means of transport in the Vancouver area, please visit our Transport page.

Other things to do

Swimming Pool at Pacific Gateway Hotel near Vancouver International AirportIf walking, jogging, and enjoying the views aren’t for you, take a dip in the outdoor pool that overlooks the marina and the hotel’s beautiful gardens, or work up a sweat in the state of the art fitness centre located on the hotel’s top floor.  It’s free to all guests and open 24 hours a day.  Slightly further afield, take some time to check out the village of Steveston, a town within a town (in this case Richmond).  Besides the lovely boutiques and seafood restaurants, it’s also possible to charter a fishing boat and go deep sea fishing.  If boats aren’t your thing, try casting for salmon right off  Steveston’s public wharf, or take a tour to where you can see bald eagles nesting in the wild.  There are even guided tours of the Richmond speed skating oval, home to the 2010 Winter Olympics, which now offers ice skating to the public.  There’s also a complimentary community shuttle service that runs 24 hours per day, from the hotel to the local shopping malls, Steveston Village and the local wineries.
